چکیده

Abstract Chickpea ( Cicer arietinum ), one of the major pulse crops in India, endured extreme reduction production due to various abiotic and biotic stresses. Endophytic bacteria residing nodules roots chickpea plants enable host combating these Twenty endophytic isolated from were screened for multiple plant growth promoting traits like ammonia, organic acid, siderophore, hydrogen cyanide (HCN) phytohormone indole acetic acid (IAA) production. Out these, 86% isolates produced around 50% HCN 29% ACC (1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid) deaminase, while only 14% solubilized phosphate. Interestingly, all able produce IAA ranging 11.6–85.2 μg/ml, isolate CPJN 13 being maximum producer (85.5±2.33 μg/ml). Isolate CPJN13 was selected optimization studies. The yield increased up 4 fold i.e. 331±4.96 μg/ml at optimized conditions. also confirmed by TLC HPLC analysis crude extract. application on seedlings resulted significant increase parameters. 16S rDNA sequencing revealed its similarity with Pseudomonas lini strain submitted NCBI accession number MF574502. To best our knowledge, this is first report presence P . as endophyte nodules. results study imply that P. has a potential role enhance growth.

Characterization of plant growth promoting rhizobacteria associated with chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.)

Plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) are known to influence plant growth by various direct or indirect mechanisms. In search of efficient PGPR strains with multiple activities, a total of 150 bacterial isolates belonging to Bacillus, Pseudomonas, Azotobacter and Rhizobium were isolated from different rhizospheric soil of chick pea in the vicinity of Allahabad. These test isolates were bi...

Colonization and plant growth promoting characterization of endophytic Pseudomonas chlororaphis strain Zong1 isolated from Sophora alopecuroides root nodules

The endophytic strain Zong1 isolated from root nodules of the legume Sophora alopecuroides was characterized by conducting physiological and biochemical tests employing gfp-marking, observing their plant growth promoting characteristics (PGPC) and detecting plant growth parameters of inoculation assays under greenhouse conditions. Results showed that strain Zong1 had an effective growth at 28 º...

Enhanced Plant Performance in Cicer arietinum L. Due to the Addition of a Combination of Plant Growth-Promoting Bacteria

Current agriculture is based on external fertilizers that jeopardize soil fertility. Alternative fertilization systems might come from the use of soil-borne bacteria with plant growth enhancing ability. Here, six bacterial strains that produce varying concentrations of indole acetic acid (IAA) were tested individually and in consortia for plant growth promotion and fitness-related traits of Cic...

Effect of plant growth-promoting Streptomyces sp. on growth promotion and grain yield in chickpea (Cicer arietinum L)

The physiological and molecular responses of six strains of Streptomyces sp. (CAI-13, CAI-85, CAI-93, CAI-140, CAI-155 and KAI-180), with their proven potential for plant growth-promotion (PGP) in rice were studied to understand the mechanisms causing the beneficial effects. In this investigation, those six strains were evaluated for their PGP capabilities in chickpea in the 2012-13 and 2013-14...
